Two Fine Quality 19th Century Japanese Satsuma Vases with Restorations Two elegantly shaped Satsuma vases of very nice quality. The bodies are profusely decorated with an alternating geometric design, and the the necks depict dragon mask ring handles. Overall, both are in good and presentable condition for their age. There are restorations and losses so please note the condition reports below. One vase is heavier due to having a thicker its base, and the underside is rougher. This is a manufacturing defect. The size differs slightly but this isn’t noticeable when on display. The detail speaks for itself, these are two eye catching examples. Size left vase: Height. 28.3cm Diameter 10.8cm Condition left vase: There is a weight difference, this is the lightest vase of the two. Hairline to rim approx. 4.5cm, restoration to outer rim visible. Restoration to lower loop of one handle, small loss to the detailing on the body as visible. Size right vase: Height: 28.9cm Diameter 11cm Condition right vase: There is a weight difference, this is the heaviest vase of the two.
